About the role

Working either full time or part time (no less than three days per week) as a qualified commercial accountant you'll serve as an outsourced CFO to our key clients, providing expert financial advice and managing their entire finance function. You'll build strong relationships, understanding our clients' needs to offer tailored solutions and proactive insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Regular meetings to provide strategic advice.
• Oversight of accounting processes and recommendations for improvement.
• Reviewing financial statements and liaising with third parties.
• Producing forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
• Collaboration with external auditors.

The Role

• Providing clients with advice and insights around the financial data produced.
• Responsible for the review, and submission of VAT returns and bookkeeping. This includes assisting in managing a team of juniors.
• Yearend financial accounts preparation and review this includes but not limited to limited companies, partnerships and sole trader.
• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns and assist in providing tax advisory services to clients.
• Assist in preparing budgets and cashflow forecasts for clients.
• Advise and support clients with cloud accounting software questions.
• Help convert clients from manual bookkeeping systems to integrated cloud accounting systems.
• Answer accounting questions from both clients. Providing advice and consultation services. 
• Have good technical VAT and personal tax knowledge and can keep knowledge up to date through CPD.
• Prepare formal correspondence to various parties (Clients, HMRC, Banks, Companies House etc.)
• Other reasonable duties may from time to time be required.

About you

We're looking for individuals who share our commitment to integrity, a client-centric service, and proactive engagement. Ideally, you'll come from either a practice or industry background and have:

• ACCA/ACA qualification with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 1A and FRS 105.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Experience with online accounting software such as Fathom and Futrli.
